HOW DO WE REPAIR YOUR PS3

1. We clean your PS3 with compressed air to remove the build up of dust from the fan, air vents, power supply, disk drive and other components
    
2. We don't just reheat the processors like those online videos - we reflux the core processors and transitors using the best 'flux' and reapply the solder on these components
   
   
3. Finally, the highest quality thermal compound is applied to the processors, which helps to prevent them from overheating.  
   
   The image to the right demonstrates how much thermal compound Sony used originally on the PS3's processors and over time this compound breaks down and causes the PS3 to overheat.  
   
   We clean the processors using a specialist cleaning agent to ensure that the new application of thermal compound sets correctly.  
   
   Then we reapply a high quality thermal compound, which is far superior in quality compared to the original thermal compound used by Sony and coat both processors equally, to ensure that heat transfer to the heat sinks is even.  This process helps to ensure that your PS3 / Playstation 3 will not YLOD due to being overheated..
    
4. Having undertaken the above we then sink test the PS3 for failures - at which point if it's going to fail, this test will cause it.

DON'T TRY THE DIY FIX

There is always the DIY repair and a quick 'Google' search for "YLOD" will return a number of how to videos on how you can fix the YLOD fault yourself, but what these video's don't tell you is that unless you use the correct tools, best parts and know just what to do - your DIY repair may only last a few hours.

Our recommendation is to not try this repair yourself, because you can cause more damage to the PS3 - which could result in it being unrepairable.
